Wow...What a Person..1

Met Dr. Meera Baliga on my flight from Kochi to Chennai this afternoon. 76 years old lady Peadiatrician, living in Kochi at the moment with her daughter and son-in-law who are doctors too. She was going to see her grand daughter in Chennai (and in particular her great grand daughter who has just started her kindergarten).

For a lady who lost her husband at the age of 25, who took up learning medicine at the age of 26 on her mother's insistence, she has had an amazing journey..... She was the head of teaching peadiatrics at the Manipal Medical College for a very long time and her students are now all over the world practising paediatrics.

A very kind and loving person, no wonder her students love her, for majority of our conversation was around her institution and students, though she has not been at it for the last atleast 10 years.. One of those in the "WOW, What a person" list.
